An exhibition of printed imagery from Digital Canvas Collective.

As technology rapidly increases digital artists' must continue to advance in theory of current programs while growing creatively. The 16 participating artists' are submitting 2-3 pieces of work that is a current representative of their style.
Many of the contributing artist work in animation, character design, concept art and gaming. In this exhibition they have complete creative freedom to generate their own imagery.
To compliment the digital imagery all of the works will be printed via the Gallery to ensure the best quality outcome.
Opening night special guests include;
Serge Birault, Aly Fell, Andrew Hickinbottom, Nadia Enis, Steffi Schütze, Christian Nauck and Daniela Uhlig

[DE] Vor dem Hintergrund der rapiden technologischen Entwicklung müssen digital artist sowohl ihre programkenntnisse als auch ihre kreativen Fähigkeiten immer weiter entwickeln und ausbauen.
Die 16 ausgestellten Künstler arbeiten in den Bereichen Animation, Character Design, concept Art und Gaming. Die Werke dieser Ausstellung sind jedoch freie Arbeiten ohne Themenvorgabe um den Küstlern unbeschränkte Möglichkeit zu geben ihre individuelle Kreativität zu präsentieren.
Um diese bestmöglich zur Geltung zu bringen, werden Alle Bilder von der Galerie auf hochwertigen Digital-Leinwand-Druck gedruckt.
Am Abend der Vernissage sind anwesend: Serge Birault, Aly Fell, Andrew Hickinbottom, Nadia Enis, Steffi Schütze, Christian Nauck and Daniela Uhlig

Festival BD de Cluny

[FR only] Cette année, j'ai l'honneur et le plaisir d'être le parrain du Festival BD de Cluny le 13 et 14 Avril. Ambiance familiale et décontract', pas de videurs à l'entrée, pas de dresscode (ou alors éventuellement la bure de moine, Abbaye de Cluny oblige!). Une dream team d'artistes a répondu présent à mon appel, parmi lesquels plein d'amis comme Agata Kawa, Serge Birault, Viktor Kalvachev, Erlé Ferronnière, Mike Huddleston, Sebastien Grenier, Erwan Seure-Le Bihan, etc... et plein d'autres que je ne connais pas encore et que j'ai hâte de rencontrer. Can't wait !
Et comme je suis le parrain, c'est à moi qu'incombait la tâche de réaliser l'affiche du festival. La voici.

back in 2002

[ENG] I just changed the design of my website, and it made me want to see how it looked like back in 2002 (this can easily be done with Archive.org). It's not the first version of it tough, the 2000 version seems to be "lost", which is ok to me.
Well, watching this, I have to admit that although my tastes changed quite a bit concerning painting and drawing styles, my taste in design didn't change at all. I could totallyl use that old one again !! :)
 

[FR] Mon site vient juste de se refaire une beauté, du coup ça m'a donné envie d'aller voir à quoi il ressemblait en 2002; ce que l'on peut faire très facilement "grâce" (merci le droit à l'oubli) à Archive.org. La version 2000 semble, elle, néanmoins, perdue, ce qui me va très bien.
Bref, en parcourant ses pages, je dois admettre que si mes goûts en matière de dessin et de peinture ont changé, mes attirances en matière de design n'ont, elles, pas bougé d'un pouce. Et je pourrais tout à fait reprendre ce vieux design aujourd'hui !
